It’s Time to Know More About Taiwan’s Badminton!
Motivation
There are many athletes in Taiwan who rely on perseverance to win glory for Taiwan, and there are many outstanding achievements in badminton competitions. Therefore, we have taken “Taiwan’s Badminton History” as our research theme.
When it comes to sports competitions, the first thing that comes to mind is the Olympic Games, which is a major international competition. The last two Olympic Games, namely the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the Paris 2024 Olympics, the most concerning event in Taiwan is badminton!
We adore the athletes who shine on the international stage and bring glory to Taiwan. I hope that through the in-depth study of this topic, we can better understand the history of badminton in Taiwan and the knowledge of badminton. Not only that, but we were also able to learn about the heroic stories behind those outstanding badminton players, as well as the difficulties they experienced and how they dealt with them.
Research Schedule
☆ We mostly have discussions on Thursday after class.
☆ We used weekend time to finish up deeper research of our project.
☆ We also used the winter vacation to organize the collected datas.
Methods
To achieve our goal, we collected information to gain a deeper understanding about badminton. We also interviewed a badminton player, Chen Ting Yi, about how badminton matches work and her experience. We also created a survey to collect data and opinions from people who played badminton, allowing us to gain a better understanding.
